What automation adds
The importer organizes supported source fields into consistent incident pages. It does not invent a cause, fault finding, person, age, spelling, role, or medical outcome. Unknown or ambiguous identity fields are held rather than filled in from context.
Names and exact ages
The owner-approved policy permits the full name and exact numeric age supplied by CAD for an explicitly identified driver, victim, injured person, or deceased person, including a minor. Exact ages are not replaced with ranges or labels such as adult or juvenile. When relevant, names and ages may appear in page text, headlines, cards, URLs, RSS, public APIs, metadata, structured data, and social previews.
Witnesses and next of kin are excluded. Independently protected identities, including protected sexual-offense victim information, must not be published. Phone numbers, license plates, unrelated residential addresses, and raw remarks are excluded from the public projection. The existence of a name somewhere in source text does not establish the person’s role.
The statutory source boundary remains unresolved
Florida Statute §316.066 restricts access to and use of personal information in crash reports and certain crash-report-derived agency data. Florida Crash Watch uses public CAD feeds, not a purchased crash-report database. Whether and how those restrictions apply to particular CAD fields remains unresolved here. Public availability is not treated as proof of an exemption, and this guide is not a legal conclusion authorizing publication.
Updates and corrections
Substantive source changes can update the public record and its modified date, while the original publication date remains fixed. Listing changes appear in the timeline where available. The operator can suppress an individual identity or unpublish an incident; a sitewide identity control is also available.
