Attribution and automation
Automated incident pages attribute their information to FHP and identify the underlying CAD record. Florida Crash Watch is the responsible publishing organization; an automated page is not presented as the work of a reporter who attended the scene or independently verified the event. Automated incident records use Article, not NewsArticle, structured data.
Supported facts only
Headlines and summaries must reflect the actual incident fields. We do not infer fatality, injury, cause, fault, a person’s identity or role, spelling, or exact age. The system holds unclear and conflicting records for review rather than translating an unfamiliar code by guesswork. We do not add legal solicitation, generic accident advice, or invented detail to expand a page.
Names and ages
The owner-approved policy permits exact CAD-supplied full names and numeric ages, including minors, for explicitly identified drivers, victims, injured people, and deceased people. These facts may appear in relevant headlines, links, feeds, APIs, metadata, and other public representations. Witnesses and next of kin are excluded. Independently protected identities, phone numbers, license plates, unrelated residential addresses, and raw remarks are excluded from the public projection. Permission under site policy is not a conclusion about legal entitlement to publish particular information.
Updates and accountability
Original publication dates remain fixed. Modified dates change for substantive factual updates, not merely because a poll ran. Source changes and listing transitions are shown in the incident timeline where available. The operator can suppress a person or unpublish a record while a problem is reviewed.
